Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing NewsMarker on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Alle lokale en regionale (online) nieuwsbronnen van Nederland in één app. Alle media staan per gemeente op de kaart (Google Maps). Het is daardoor erg eenvoudig om -zonder NewsMarker af te sluiten- te zien wat het laatste nieuws is in jouw woonplaats, werkplaats of verblijfplaats. Zoek op plaatsnaam of gemeente of laat de app op basis van GPS laten zien waar je bent en wat de dichtstbijzijnde nieuwsbron is.

In de NewsMarker staan honderden nieuwsbronnen zoals de lokale nieuwssites van indebuurt en nieuws.nl, maar ook de sites van dagbladen (regionale kranten zoals PZC (Zeeland) BN DeStem en Brabants Dagblad (Noord-Brabant), De Gelderlander, De Stentor (Overijssel), Het Parool, etc.), publieke en commerciële omroepen en andere media in de provincies van Nederland: Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, Utrecht, Flevoland, Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Gelderland en Limburg. Staat er een nieuwsbron of gemeente niet (goed) in de app en/of op de kaart? Dan kun je dat via de app of via mail laten weten aan de ontwikkelaar.
