Keeping in view the idea of SMART Policing, Delhi Police has launched ‘SEWA-Citizen Services’ Mobile based Application to make Citizen-Police interface smooth and people friendly. It is a long standing demand of local citizens, Residents Welfare Associations, Market Welfare Associations, Senior Citizens; tech savy professionals etc. to know about their local Beat officers and to apprise them about petty local issues/problems the citizens face from time to time. It is also aimed at to reduce the trust deficit between local citizenry and Police by facilitating them to know about their functioning and constraints through easy interaction between both.
Call Area Beat Officer At One Click
SEWA is an android based Mobile App which shall locate the user map in respect of the nearest Police Station. The user will get to know about name of the local Police Station and Area Beat. It will also facilitate the user to call the respective Beat officer at one click for better response to the satisfaction of the user.The App has been developed to improve the response time of local Police in addition to the 100 Number facility where PCR van attends the call in case of emergency in addition to local Police.
Share Your Problem
Keeping in view of the hesitation in the minds of Citizens in sharing their long standing grievances of Public Drinking in parks/civic amenities, Illegal sale of liquor in their Mohallas, Dark Stretches, Eve Teasing locations, Gambling etc. The App will facilitate the local residents to upload photographs of such nuisances with address of the location and their remarks of this App without giving their own name and address thereby ensuring anonymity of the complainant. This is aimed at to provide the local resident a platform to share common nuisances without going to the Police Station physically and also without revealing their identity..
Online Task Allocation
The Citizens issues/problems shared via this App shall be reported to the area SHO on his mobile phone and he shall be able to mark/allocate such problems to local Beat officers to attend and redress the same. A text message shall be delivered to the complainant on his mobile phone acknowledging the receipt of his complaint contact details of the Police Officer who is marked to attend the call.
Tenant & Servant Verification
It is a lawful duty of all Citizens to get their Servant, Tenants, Drivers and Tutors if any verified from the local Police Station. It is a duty on part of responsible Citizen to get them verified in view of current security scenario This App will facilitate the local Citizens to upload information about their Servant, Tenants, Drivers and Tutors if any without visiting Police Station physically. The App aims at creating awareness among the fellow Citizens to make their city safe with their participation.
Senior Citizens Corner
Delhi Police is committed for safety and security of vulnerable sections of the society including Senior Citizens. The App will contain information on Senior Citizen homes, Senior Citizen Associations and the Helpline Number. The app will contain information regarding Doctors/Pharmacists willing to consult on health issues online bothering their area Senior Citizens and to provide home service in the hours of need.
Safety Tips
To create a secured ambience in modern society, it is necessary to make our Citizens aware about the safety tips to be taken while being in the markets or on the roads. The local Police shall share information about wanted criminals, recent modus operandi to commit crime on this App to make the Citizenry aware.

The prime theme of modern governance is to smoothen the Citizen-Administration Interface and its prime Dharma is to address the grievances of its Citizenry. Citizens are now provided contact details of all Police Officers at the District level. It will details all Police Helpline including Senior Citizens Helpline, North Eastern People Helpline and Women Helpline etc
