This app shows how to tie many, many knots of all types. It does take a little getting used to to use the illustrations but once you get it you get it. The text explanations to the illustrations seem to be translated into English very literally and word for word and is rather hard to follow (but kind of fun to try; read the text for the THULE knot they have as the "Turtle" knot--funny!) Despite any of that, I've been able to follow along for every knot important to me. The text was not critical for the knots I learned from this app. The app "promises" ads but I've had this app a couple years and never saw an ad or an interruption on my Android phone. Here is a helpful hint for users: once you pick a category of knots, then a particular knot, use the app's back arrow at the top left to get back to the category; or the the phones back function to get to the home screen. Five stars for utility, entertainment, free, and no intrusive interruptions.
