About SAS

The SAS was founded in 1924 and counts 1,200 members distributed over seven sections (Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich, Norge). The SAS is a regional association of Swiss Ski active in alpine skiing, nordic skiing and alpinism. It is open to all students and academics in Switzerland and organizes events and races with international appeal (Anglo-Swiss, Pentathlon, Italo-Suisse), as well as regional Swiss Ski races. The SAS heads the only Swiss university teams in alpine and nordic skiing disciplines and organized, the U-Games for alpine and nordic skiing on behalf of the Swiss University Sports Association.
