عن الرواية: أظهر "جورج أورويل" في كتابه "مزرعة الحيوان" عداءة ورفضه للاستبداد في جميع إشكاله، كما اظهر فيه قلقه الفائق من الحرية الفردية. هذه الحرية التي يمكن لها أن تتحول إلى سلاح ذو حدين في مواجهة حاملها. وقد تجلى شجبه الخاضع لنسق واحد في قصته الوهمية هذه التي دونها (عام 1945) وفيها أعطى للحيوانات مكانتهم بين الكائنات، وأمدهم بالقوة والسيطرة على مزرعة كاملة أصبحوا هم المسيطرين عليها بعد طردهم لمالكها الإنسان الذي هو رمز الخيانة والطمع والإستبداء بالنسبة إليهم، فهم الآخرون الناهون في شؤون المزرعة ولكن هل للسيطرة والحقد والطمع أنن تسيطر على نفوس الحيوانات في المزرعة وهل هذا الداء هو مرض يصيب الجميع بمجرد إمساكه لكرسي القيادة أم لا؟ في هذا الكتاب، الذي عمل الأستاذ محمد العريمي على ترجمته مراعياً عرض النص في الشكل الذي يستحقه، تنقلب الموازين وترفع رايات استبداد الإنسان لتدخل الكائنات تحت استبداد غير منظم لكائنات لا تفقه ماذا تفعل ولا كيف تعيش. من الرواية: أيها الرفاق، لا اظنكم تتخيلون اننا نحن معشر الخنازير نقوم بهذا بروح الانانية والتميز ! فالكثير منا لا يحب الحليب والتفاح. فأنا شخصيا لا احبهما .و لكن هدفنا الوحيد من اخذ هذه الاشياء هو المحافظة على صحتنا . فالحليب والتفاح (وقد ثبت هذا علميا ايها الرفاق) يحتويان على مواد ضرورية جدا لصالح الخنازير. نحن الخنازير نعمل بعقولنا . فكل ادارة او تنظيم هذه المزرعة يعتمد علينا. ونحن نهتم بمصلحتكم ليل نهار.ومن اجلكم نشرب هذا الحليب ونأكل تلك التفاحات. الا تعلمون ما قد يحدث لو اننا معشر الخنازير فشلنا في اداء واجبنا؟ جونز سيعود ! نعم جونز سيعود ! .بالتأكيد ايها الرفاق .
