They probably used a very very old style of English which at least I never red in my life before.. mind tongue twister stories read if u wanted to roll on

These are a bit explicit, violent and grotesque for young children, in my opinion. Example, "Then the giant was right wild and dashed his[little boy] brains out on the stone"
