Dari setiap langkahnya diangkat kedudukannya satu derajat dan dihapuskan baginya satu dosa serta senantiasa dido’akan oleh para malaikat. Rasulullah SAW bersabda: “Salat seseorang dengan berjama’ah itu melebihi salatnya di rumah atau di pasar sebanyak dua puluh lima kali lipat. Yang demikian itu karena bila seseorang berwudhu’ dan menyempurnakan wudhu’nya kemudian pergi ke masjid dengan tujuan semata-mata untuk salat, maka setiap kali ia melangkahkan kaki diangkatlah kedudukannya satu derajat dan dihapuslah satu dosa. Dan apabila dia mengerjakan salat, maka para Malaikat selalu memohonkan untuknya rahmat selama ia masih berada ditempat salat selagi belum berhadats, mereka memohon: “Ya Allah limpahkanlah keselamatan atasnya, ya Allah limpahkanlah rahmat untuknya.’ Dan dia telah dianggap sedang mengerjakan salat semenjak menantikan tiba waktu salat.” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim dari Abu Huraira RA, dari terjemahan lafadz Bukhari).
