Welcome to Intermediate and Secondary Education Board


The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Mymensingh, Bangladesh was established for Mymensingh division in 28th August 2017 by an Ordinance (vide East Pakistan Ordinance No. XXXIII of 1961) for the organization, regulation, supervision, control and development of Intermediate and Secondary level public examinations and educational institutions. The Ordinance was, however, amended in 1962 (No. XVI of 1962) and in 1977 (No. XVII of 1977).

Professor Dr Gazi Hasan Kamal is the founding chairman from 31st December 2017.

BISE Mymensingh has started its journey on 28 August 2017 with the educational institutions of four districts namely Mymensingh, Netrokona, Sherpur and Jamalpur. It is a privilege for the educational institutions of these four districts as BISE Mymensingh can constantly monitor, supervise and help them for further improvement of Secondary Education in this region. BISE Mymensingh is a significant establishment in education city Mymensingh. BISE Mymensingh is committed to implementing the decentralization policy of the Government in the area of Secondary Education through its excellent and prompt service.

The number of institutions under board:

Currently, there are 1800 recognized and 228 temporarily recognized schools and 235 colleges under Mymensingh Education board.

The medium of Instruction: Although the medium of instruction is Bangla in all schools and colleges, except Mymensingh girls cadet, Cantonment public school and college and K.B college are under BISE, Mymensingh offers education in the English version of NCTB syllabus to the students.

As a regular job, BISE Mymensingh will conduct JSC, SSC and HSC examination since 2018.

BISE Mymensingh will make all facilities automated. It will help to reach all services at the doorsteps of the stakeholders. As a result, the services will be time-saving, economic, prompt and authentic.

BISE Mymensingh will provide sub-domains (website) to all of its schools and colleges to upload all information (of physical, academic, students, teaching & non-teaching staff, class routine, academic calendar, exams, result, attendance, performance etc.) and providing services. Online Education Management Service of Mymensingh board will play a pioneering model role to digitalize the education sector of Bangladesh and to bring the Vision 2021 of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina into a reality to build developed Bangladesh within 2041.
