A Revista Lumen é uma publicação digital católica desenvolvida pela Arquidiocese de Campinas – SP, disponível gratuitamente nas plataformas web online, aplicativo para tablets e download para computadores no portal da arquidiocese. O surgimento de uma revista digital católica, produto ainda pouco desenvolvido pela Igreja no Brasil, se dá em atenção aos documentos do Magistério recente quando apontam a preocupação de que, na evangelização, na catequese e, em geral, na pastoral, persistam ainda linguagens pouco significativas para a cultura atual e, em particular, para os jovens. Em sua mensagem “Verdade, anúncio e autenticidade de vida, na era digital”, o Papa Bento XVI diz que, “como qualquer outro fruto do engenho humano, as novas tecnologias da comunicação pedem para ser postas ao serviço do bem integral da pessoa e da humanidade inteira. Usadas sabiamente, podem contribuir para satisfazer o desejo de sentido, verdade e unidade que permanece a aspiração mais profunda do ser humano”.
