Just purchased the app and super pleased with it. It is exactly what I was looking for, and very simple and easy to use. Before purchasing the app I contacted the developers to ask a few questions and had a prompt and courteous reply, explaining in greater detail the functions of the app. Highly recommended. 5 stars, easily.

Good app but a really good feature to add would be to restrict the guess the bird quizzes to one if your lists so you can use it to learn the sounds.

i used to love this app until my Sophos Anti-virus informed me that the app has a low reputation, may have security vulnerabilities, has the ability to let someone else access and over-write files on my phone and uses my phone's data. Have followed Sophos recommendation to uninstall!

Useful app but periodic updates of the pictures and sounds for each species would make the quizzes better learning tools. As it is it's quite easy to just recognise a picture/sound without actually learning to ID the species

Useful but disappointed by very limited examples of some of the bird songs and background noise, ie not all were of great quality, length of audio clip or song diversity.

Lesser spotted woodpecker only seems to have sound of drumming. No call. Not a lot of use.

About this app

Presenting a UK Birds Sounds compilation app with high quality sounds and songs of birds found in the United Kingdom! Reviewed by the popular BirdWatch Magazine:
"Learning bird songs and calls adds an extra dimension to your skills, allowing you to identify those unseen birds, as well as more fully enjoy the birds you do see".

Featuring the Barn Owl, Blackbird, Brambling, Bluethroat, Bullfinch, Jackdaw, House Sparrow, Nightingale, Redkite, and many more birds!

Bird Sounds can be played by tapping on a bird picture. All sounds can be saved as Ringtones, Notifications and Alarms by long pressing on a bird and selecting the relevant option.
Birds can be grouped by family or alphabetical order (with and without headings) using the Menu Settings.

A Birdwatching checklist is included allowing you to tick off birds you have seen. Tapping on a bird on the checklist screen allows you to view more information about the bird on Wikipedia or perform an image search via Google images.

Personal Lists can be created too! Create a list of your favorite birds, or add birds that you've seen on a recent bird watching trip. Birds can be added to your lists from the checklist screen.

Mini games are also included helping you to learn the different birds found in this app: Guess the Picture, Guess the Sound and Guess the Name.

There are no ads present in this app and all updates have no extra charge.
Permissions are required for saving birds sounds. All images and sounds used are royalty free.
