About this app

Ls Droid Legacy is the long awaited official release for the popular app know as Ls Droid that has been in development since 2018.

Ls Droid has pioneered the ability to read and write the engine computer in select General Motors vehicle's built between 1999 and 2007. There are a number of supported* OBD II scan tool devices that are compatible with with Ls Droid Legacy, these devices simply plug into your vehicle's OBDII port and then you connect to them using Ls Droid Legacy wirelessly simply by using the Bluetooth connection on your phone or tablet.

Once Ls Droid is connected to a supported scan tool, you are able to read and write the binary data stored in your vehicle's engine computer. Once you have read your ECU, you can use the saved file with a number of different programs allowing you to alter your engine and transmissions tuning parameter's in the same fashion as commercial tuning software does that costs hundred's of dollars to purchase and then still charges you every time you use it. With Ls Droid Legacy you can accomplish the same results using free programs to alter your vehicle's file such as Tuner Pro.

Ls Droid is not a gimmick and there is absolute no cost to use it. The only requirement is that you have a supported OBD II device and that you own a vehicle using one of the many ECU's the app is designed to work with.

FWD Vehicles Supported by Ls Droid Legacy:
Most 2001-2006 V6 FWD vehicle's equipped with the 3100, 3400 and 3800 series engines.

*Supported OBD II scan tools:
OBDX Pro - All tools made by OBDX Pro are supported and this is the recommended device to use. Currently these tools are only avaible directly from the OBDXpro website.

OBDLink Lx, this was the original device supported by Ls Droid and while it still works it is much slower then any of the OBDX Pro tools and has been know to experience firmware related issues when used with Ls Droid Legacy.

The OBDLink Mx and Mx+ are both supported, however they do not have any advantage over the OBDLink Lx devices but they do cost significantly more money. And like the OBDLink Lx these tools have also been known to have firmware issues.
