What is the London Virtual Reality (VR) App - 360 Cardboard Tour Viewer Guide application?

This mobile application is free to download. You will be able to discover extraordinary parts of London and listen to the sounds of the city such as the bells of the Big Ben or St Paul's Cathedral, as well as the Belfast explosions.

From a 360 gallery, you can move around to the most visited and historic places of the city such as Trafalgar Square, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral, the River Thames, Buckingham Palace, the Victoria Memorial, the London War Memorials, the Big Ben, the London Eye, the Palace of Westminster, Parliament Square Garden, Hyde Park and much more.

This app also works on your phone or tablet without a VR headset. Your device itself becomes a magic screen into the 360° Virtual Reality experience as you move it around to see the scenes. You will also be able to click on the icons to listen to interesting facts or to move on to the next site of London you wish to discover.

IMPORTANT:To get the full ultimate 360 VR experience, we recommend you use headphones or earphones.

Unlock the available locations on the “Destination” tab.

To walk inside Hyde Park you will need to unlock this feature by sharing the app to your friends on social media (use the “Destination” tab to activate).

To listen to the audio guide you will need to unlock this feature via the available payment methods, for a small contribution towards the developers.

The available languages for the audio tour guide are English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 , Spanish 🇪🇸, Portuguese 🇧🇷, Italian 🇮🇹 and Chinese 🇨🇳 .

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
