Super good. This guy actually knows how a language is learned naturally. It's like we almost immersed ourselves into the Japanese world through the daily updates of the maker, which are based on his daily encounters. Thanks a lot for making this!

Great WOTD app — exactly what I was looking for. I like how there are daily notifications with just the new word in kanji and furigana. The one thing that bothers me is that the sentence is read aloud automatically whenever the Today's Word page is opened (e.g., when going to previous/next words of the day) or also apparently by touching the screen sometimes. Since this is automatic, sometimes it plays at times when I don't want it to, like if I open the app and I'm on a call or in a quiet room, which can be awkward. Also, the back button on my phone doesn't move between screens in the app. Otherwise, great app!

the app does not have a cancellation function just in case i wish to abort
im the middle of the game. the list of words it great. this is little more
advance than for beginners. the kanji are definitely helpful in the near
future when i can master n5 and n4.

Might be good, who can tell. Installed on Galaxy note 10.1 2014 andriod 4.4.2, screen rendered wider than 10.1 landscape. Popup screens, such as options has text BACKWARDS, or text overlapping. Has potential for some people. Not compatible with Tablets maybe. Who is the sekininsha? Maybe he should fix it.

The very first word was confusing. Owabi. For some reason there's two versions of the translation. The Japanese reads: yoku owabi shinasai and the romaji translation says yoku owabi shite kudasai. The romaji translation is a politer version of the sentence but if you're new to Japanese you'd be like "I don't understand why the kana and romaji don't match up? There also only seems to be 5 topics, traveling, body, family, occupations and food. The trial topic (traveling) has 76 words in it. I'm guessing the other 4 topics also have 76 words as well. I'm not sure I'd want to upgrade for £6.32 for only 380 words. £6.32 is a lot for an app. I'll hold back on upgrading on this one. Having said all that, their approach does seem quite refreshing and the review system is quite nice and I like the fact that casual Japanese is also used.
