Great amp but the app disconnects at random. When i say random, i mean exactly that. Sometimes it will drop out multiple times in a 5 minute span. Absolutely annoying when your editing tones. Besides that the sounds are great. When the app does work, the editing is real easy to navigate. Please please fix the disconnect issue. Its every owners main complaint.

I've had most of the issues people are having here & the amp and app are fussy, but hopefully I can help. When you connect your phone, be sure that the adapter end goes into your phone and not the amp. Also, I plug phone in first then turn on the amp. If you're having issues still, log out, then log back into your line 6 account. Hopefully this helps, I've even had to take pliers to tighten up usb port on the amp. The app DESPERATELY needs update, but as with most updates, might make it worse

Managed to connect once and download updated firmware and 1 tone from the cloud ..since then just continuously disconnecting... As others have previously said makes the app and the ability to tap into a wealth of tones and editing features a complete waste of time ...especially for people who bought the amp for these features like myself. About time they got this issue fixed .

It doesn't work, hasn't been updated in a year. How is Line 6 getting away with selling amps that depend on this app, but not actually bothering to keep the app up to date? I definitely feel like I've bought a lemon and I am considering returning it for something that works. Which is a shame because I like the actual amp (Spider V 20 MkII), I just can't use it's features as intended. Poor show Line 6.

Crashes my phone every time! Is there a solution??? I can't use it at all if it keeps doing it. Are there specific steps such as turn on amp, then plug in, then open app, or set app to open automatically, and then unplug, or power off amp, or power off phone then unplug, or what??!!!

Extremely buggy and constantly having to uninstall and reinstall for it to work. Extremely dissapoointing given that without the app, the amp is not much good. Would not buy again.

About this app

Spider Remote is a graphical editor and device management app for use with Line 6 Spider V guitar amplifiers.

Connect to a Spider V via a USB OTG cable to browse, download, edit and save your guitar tones.

An active connection to a Spider V amp is not required to browse and edit tones, and can be saved in the user's account.

Attention! Not all Android devices are capable of supporting USB Host mode, which is required for Spider V Remote to control the amplifier. If in doubt, third party utility apps such as “USB Host Diagnostics” can be used in order to determine USB Host mode capabilities.

KEY FEATURES

• Take command of your Spider –all 70+ amps, 104 effects, 20 speaker cabinets using 8 simultaneous guitar effects

• Remotely control Spider V device parameters
• Search thousands of user-created tones online in the Tones tab

• Share and rate tones in the cloud
• Store unlimited tones in the cloud
• Share tones via Twitter and Facebook from within Spider Remote

New features

Fixed crashes and connection issues on Android 12+.
