This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LightSail Education on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. This app, when it works has some great features for readers and allows for some great interaction between students and teacher. Unfortunately it has some very strange implementation that is very brittle and stops working for no reason and without any useful error message. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help. It's a shame.
