अधिवक्ता के रुप में जब मैंने इस न्यायालय में अभ्यास प्रारम्भ किया था तो ऐसे कई अवसर आये जब मुझे एहसास हुआ कि ये नियम न्यायालयी कार्यप्रणाली में सिविल प्रक्रिया संहिता एवम् दण्ड प्रक्रिया संहिता के समान ही महत्वपूर्ण हैं जिनका कि ज्ञान होना, न केवल अधिवक्ताओं के लिये आवश्यक है अपितु न्यायालय से जुङे हर व्यक्ति को इन्हें जानना आवश्यक है।
न्यायालय से जुङने वाले नये अधिवक्ताओं तथा निचले न्यायालय के अधिवक्ता-बन्धुओं को इस न्यायालय में आने पर तरह-तरह की समस्याओं का सामना करना पङता है, जिन्हें देखते हुये मैंने उपरोक्त विषय पर हिन्दी में पुस्तक लिखने का निश्चय किया जिसके परिणामस्वरुप यह पुस्तक आज आपके हाथों में है।
आशा है यह पुस्तक न केवल न्यायालय से जुङे अधिवक्ताओं एवम् अन्य कर्मचारियों के लिये उपयोगी साबित होगी अपितु साथ ही साथ जन-सामान्य , जो कि समय-समय पर न्यायालय की शरण में आते हैं , के लिये भी उपयोगी साबित होगी ।
