About this app

В отличие от античной мифологии, хорошо известной по художественной литературе и произведениям искусства, а также мифологий стран Востока, тексты мифов славян не дошли до нашего времени, поскольку в ту далекую пору, когда создавались мифы, они еще не знали письменности.
В V — VII веках после Великого переселения народов, славяне заняли территории Центральной и Восточной Европы от Эльбы (Лабы) до Днепра и Волги, от южных берегов Балтийского моря до севера Балканского полуострова. Шли века, и славяне все более отделялись друг от друга, образовав три современные ветви самой многочисленной семьи родственных народов Европы. Восточные славяне — это белорусы, русские, украинцы; западные — поляки, словаки и чехи (балтийские славяне были ассимилированы соседями-германцами в XII веке); южные — болгары, македонцы, сербы, словенцы, хорваты, боснийцы. Несмотря на разделение славян, их мифологии и поныне сохранили многие общие черты.
