A nice reminder for a basic guitar player like myself...could use many more chords. Main Feature: It shows Finger placement ! (1-2-3-4) I'm more used to P-I-M-A, but this works just fine. Thanks, Dev.

My dear fellow country-men/women from India please don't download this useless app. Why? Read below. 1) There are 6 strings (generally) in a guitar. For some chords 1 or more strings are NOT PLAYED (or muted). e.g., For C major the Low E string (the thickest string no. 6) is not played; for D major both low E & A strings (No. 6 & 5) are not played. But this app didn't showed any muted strings. So obviously the developer himself is a novice & wrongly taught guitarist. 2) The name of the software is "Basic guitar chords". But only the A, B, C, D, E, F, G major & minor open chords (also called nut position chords or Cowboy chords). Not even the basic "Barre/bar Chords" are shown. The term "basic chords" covers atleast Maj, Minor, 7th, maj7th & min7th open position and Barre/bar chords. 3) In the reviews I can see many positive reviews about how great the app is. I am from India. I know very well that India is not a country of guitarists. But in order to change that notion & attain world class level we must learn from the American & European Gurus. God knows why any Indian who wants to learn guitar searches for an Indian teacher. If you want to learn Harmonium, Flute, Santoor, Dholak etc then learn from any Indian Teachers cause they are the best in these instruments. 4) If you guys/girls want to really learn chords then check out these wonderful apps. Smart chords (free), Guitar chords & tabs (free), All chords guitar (free+no ads), Guitar chords finder (free+no ads). 5) The developer is giving the app freely. Ok. But there are a few ads. How can this "begger of an app" show any ads where as there are apps in market with many many times more chords collection (7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, diminished, added etc chords) are free & without any ads. The developer should hang himself or die in shame to post ads in this pitiful app. 6) My dear developer you must be very angry after reading this review. Instead of being angry do some good research on music theory & re-develop your app. The fret-board view looks good but the basic line diagram is better because it's always easy to see & memorise fast. Why? If you are a guitarist then try drawing a fret-board diagram & a line diagram for any complex chord like "C7 flat 9". Now see for yourself which one is easy to memorise. Now you have two options. a) You can re-develop your app by correcting Mistakes & adding more chords. b) Else you can call me names & continue with your pathetic app.
