This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Kitronik Move on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Initially not the easiest app to pair to the microbit, however once you have discovered the method it is reasonably easy. + Remove any previous pairing. eg forget the pairing. + Download the bluetooth .hex file that you wish to use. + Using the Samsung microbit follow the instructions to pair the device. + REBOOT ANDROID DEVICE + In the kitronik move app, scan for paired devices. + Select the microbit listed and hey presto.

the same thing as the previous comment. our students managed to pair it up with Bluetooth to an Android phone, but was not able to see it through the app when they open the app. tried everything. we are using a Samsung 8. Very annoyed students …..

i couldn't get this app to pair with the microbit. tried for ages, much to the dispair of my son.

The Kitronik MOVE app presents a D-Pad interface to allow the user to control a micro:bit connected device over Bluetooth LE.
