Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MyndQuest: Social + GPS + Fun on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Why "Check in" to a location when you can Pillage?

Introducing, MyndQuest! The new GPS, GeoLocation-based checkin app! It's a virtual scavenger hunt!

- Strongly influenced by the app formerly known as Gowalla, you can:

- Found new Spots and Locations
- Check in (or Pillage and Defend)
- Unlock location-based GeoQuests (States/Provinces/Countries)
- Get random items, drop them, swap them at other locations, or just collect them. You might find a glass of wine or maybe an Escaped Convict! You might even find Corruption! Either way, it's yours to keep or trade.
- Defend against other users who will pillage your locatons and may take control of them.
- Look out for disruptive barbarians (a random computer element) who are out to capture your spots!
- Every time that you travel to a new country, state, province, etc, you will earn a GeoQuest badge! So get out and explore!
- Ability to upload user profile pictures and add friends! See where your friends go and what items they have collected!
- MyndQuest is ultimately a social app; with some Geolocation gaming elements.
- Push Notifications to notify you of friend activity and pillaging warnings

**** THIS APP REQUIRES GPS AND/OR LOCATION SERVICES TO BE ON

DISCLAIMER: Since this is very new, there is a large chance you will be the only one in the area with it installed. Therefore, it is up to YOU to begin creating spots and map out the world. this app requires a minimum of two local users before you see the benefits! So get a friend going on it too!

This app uses both Miles and Kilometers based on user settings.

Requires a FREE user account to access. Simply enter a username/password/email and you're set up!

Requires Android 4.1+

PERMISSIONS: many of the permissions in this app are required to access your Google+ account information but ONLY if you choose to log in and give permission once inside the app. We also use Google Cloud Messaging which requires several permissions to send status bar push notifications between users. Lastly, we need the GPS and internet permission, because, honestly, without the internet and your location, this would not be an app.
