This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Kia UVO on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Hmmmm, I'm not quite sure the purpose of this app. I can unlock & lock the vehicle. Basically that's it. All the other stuff i can see or hear. Android auto does pretty much everything on voice command. I should be able to open & close the boot, control windows, start the car & heat it up on a cold morning & use that pretty impressive entertainment system. Interesting, but pointless.

The app is great but has a couple of ridiculous flaws! Simple 1, u can't clear notifications which has made me go and check my car several times because the time and date aren't too clear! Now the concerning 1s, it keeps saying there is a warning on my battery, I've had the car checked but the app insists! Next, now it keeps telling me the alarm has been tripped!

Like Daniel Hyman review, I too have DTE some times showing KM instead of miles although I have set miles. I get occasional no response from vehicle errors as well but the most frustrating issue is the mileage error in trip recording. UVO will say we travelled say 15 miles in the day, but the vehicle odometer on dash has increased 16 or 17 miles. Never had that in 5 years with previous EV & would love to see it fixed in UVO. It would also be great for the app to show the odo reading

Finally got the app 'working', but very flaky on setting the charge time. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Makes it very difficult to program charging to make use of cheap electricity.

The app is pretty good. The only issue I have is that you need your own location to be on to be able to see the location and range of your car on the map. Why would it need to know where I am to tell me where my car is? Please allow this feature without turning on location services on your phone.

I am a newby so just getting to grips with UVO. I find it very, very slow at getting a vehicle status update most of the time. I do not find the app intuitive and have to search around.

Currently UVO is compatible ONLY with e-Soul, Ceed MY20, Proceed MY20, X-Ceed MY20, e-Niro, Niro HEV and PHEV MY20 onwards, Sorento MY21, Sportage MY21, Rio MY21, Stonic MY21, Picanto MY21.]

The UVO app has been developed to work in combination with a Kia car equipped with UVO Connect. Thanks to it, you will be able to benefit from remote services such as:

1. Vehicle remote controls (electric vehicles only)
- Set the desired temperature in the car and activate the air conditioning or control the charging process remotely from the app.

2. Vehicle status
- Offers an overview of key elements of your car’s status such as door locks, ignition, battery and charge level and supply you with a Monthly Vehicle Report giving an overview of your car usage.

3. Send destination
- Allows you to pre-plan and set your journey through the app for seamless use in the navigation system.

4. Find my car
- Keep track of your Kia and remember where you left it, thanks to the Find My Car.

5. Alert notifications
- You will be notified whenever a car alert is triggered and sent Diagnostic Notifications about the current status of your car.

6. My trips
- Provides a summary of your previous journey’s including average speed, distance driven and time in transit.

7. User Profile Transfer and Navi Linkage:

- You will be able to link your User Profile in your car to your UVO App, so that you can check and change your vehicle settings on the app anytime. You can also back up your vehicle settings in the UVO app and apply it to your car, as well as store your favorite addresses and send it to your car from the app.

8. Valet Parking Mode (currently only available on selected models):

- You will be able to monitor the vehicle status (vehicle location, driving time, driving distance and top speed) from the UVO app while valet is driving the car. In parallel, valet can only access limited AVNT information.

9. Last Mile Navigation:

- Support you in continuing your navigation to the final destination on your smartphone after parking the car.
