Edward Mokolo Jr, plus connu sous son nom de scène Kaysha, est un producteur, chanteur et un rappeur congolais de musique afro-caribéenne, né le 22 janvier 1974.

Kaysha est d'abord compositeur amateur, et à la suite d'un concours de beauté gagné, il se retrouve sur scène. Son style est un mélange de kizomba, rumba, zouglou, zouk, calypso, R'n'B de hip-hop et de Coupé-décalé.

Né en 1974 à Kinshasa au Zaïre, Kaysha a toujours eu une certaine facilité pour la musique, le dessin et c'est ce qu'il a toujours voulu faire. Dès sa plus tendre enfance Kaysha commence à faire le tour du monde, ainsi à 9 mois il se retrouve à New York, ensuite c'est la Chine, puis la Polynésie, le Sahara, Los Angeles, le Japon et bien d'autres pays. Ce qui justifie le fameux World Wide Chico.

C'est en 1981 qu'il atterrit en France, car son père doit y travailler. En 1986 sa mère lui offre un authentique synthétiseur, ce qui le pousse à faire de la musique. À l'époque il reproduit les génériques des téléfilms, tels que Supercopter. En 1988, il commence à rapper, il apprend également à parler l'anglais et l'espagnol couramment du fait de ses voyages fréquents entre Paris, Kinshasa et New York. C'est donc tout naturellement qu'il se met à rapper en anglais ainsi qu'en espagnol.
