It's a great idea and great way to hear new music, but the app is so unreliable. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I coukd get it working ~50% of the time on my old phone (One Plus 3) and about 10% of the time on my new phone (Huawei P30). It's been like this since launch so I don't think it will get solved.

This app is incredible!!! Me and my best friend live on opposite sides of the planet and yet we can easily listen to music together whenever we hang out and just talk like we're in the same room. It makes sharing music and connecting with others significantly easier. I wholeheartedly recommend this app. Thank you.

#premium_spotify_account_needed For me it was a very bad experience using this app. You need a Spotify account and that too premium for just entering into the app till then you'll just stay on the welcome page. Giving this one star for posting this review otherwise I hated the app.

It's such a great idea. But needs a lot of improvement. It needs a notification option and a lockscreen option. If you open any other app and get back to this you lose audio. That needs to be fixed too.

I like it very much! I love the idea! 4 stars for the niche function. I have only used it in a room with 1 other person so far, and it has generally adequate function for casual music sharing at the time of social-distancing with COVID19. SO MUCH POTENTIAL :D I hope the app gains more and more functions (especially in the realm of playback control and track manipulation).

Good idea, poorly executed. If I get a notification on my phone, it kills the sound. Closing the app and reopening it does not fix it. I have to reboot my phone. Why does stepping down have to kill the songs? Spotify is a cloud service. This app is stuck in 2009. Doubt I'll be using it that much. Shame.

How It Works

Room: The place where music gets shared
You can create a room or join one that already exists. Rooms can be public or private and you get to decide how many DJ's can take turns playing music. You can also pick the genre and invite friends to join. Once you're in a room you can chat, DJ, listen or just kick back and enjoy the vibe.

DJ: The tastemakers
If you want to share a song, just click 'be a DJ' and you will be added to the list of DJ's in the room. When it's your turn the song at the top of your queue will play for everyone in the room. If someone votes or stars your track, it will show up on your notifications.

Chat: Share your thoughts
Each room has a dedicated chat box where you can share your thoughts about music, life, or anything else. You can single out a single person in the room by pressing the '@' button and picking them from the list. You can also embed images and all sorts of other fun stuff to make your voice heard!

Discover New Music
Digging a song? Just star it and it will be saved to your starred playlist. Digging someone's vibe? You can follow them and get notified whenever they are spinning on JQBX. Loving the tracks in a room? You can export the entire track history to a playlist to relive the magic at your next party.

Customize Your Profile
You can upload unique gifs and change your username in real time to suit your mood! You can have four distinct images to reflect how you feel about a certain song that's being played.

Keep Your Hits Organized
All the music you save, add to your queue, and export gets instantly added to your Spotify profile. All your music stays in the same place and can be retrieved on any Spotify enabled device.
