Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TMG Remote on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

TMG Remote is a companion application for the TMG a-15 Laser Defense System that provides operational control of the following:

* Volume up/down
* Mute on/off
* Mode switching

In addition, TMG Remote provides a full-screen overlay during alerts, even when the application is backgrounded. From the overlay, you can tap anywhere on the screen to auto cancel the defense system as soon as possible.

* Please note that your TMG a-15 system must have its CTRL FW updated after November 1, 2018, to fully support all the features provided by this application.

TMG Remote also provides options for audio alerts to your car radio or headset, auto JTK in Test mode, and auto reset of Auto Sleep mode.

Added option to use device notification sounds as an alert sound. For custom sounds, copy a sound file to your device's Notifications directory, then tap Other Alert Sound in app preferences and select your sound file.
