JobCity(jobs in Nigeria) app is the only Job App that has the following features

Multiple job sources-> Get jobs in Nigeria from multiple sources like Jobberman, Hotnigerianjobs, Naijahoitjobs, jobemy, naij jobs etc

Job categorised into more than 50 Specializations->jobs from the above sites are categorized into 50 different job Specialization including Graduate jobs.You get notified when any site post a job under any/all of the specialization you selected

Duplicate jobs removal-> Similar jobs posted by one site is not reposted if any other sites posts it (90% accurate). this means that if Hotnigerianjob post a job and Jobberman later posts the same job, our system would detect to stop duplication. This only works if the job descriptions are relatively the same .

Job Notification-> activate job notification in any of the 50 specializations built into the APP.

Custom Notification-> Create of to 5 notification for any keyword of your choice using the search field. THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE VERSION 2 OF THIS APP CALLED JOBCITY 2.0

Instant job updates ->Get jobs as it is posted automatically even at midnight ( maximum of 1 hr delay).

1. Does the App take care of Duplicate Job post from multiple sites?

Yes ( in a way). We understand that most of the jobsites copy each other. As such, we have developed an algorithm that checks the Jobs description of each job before posting. If any similarity is found between 2 posts (more than 85% similarity), the post would not be synchronized with this App. We also manually reconfirm that the post is actually a duplicate before deleting. This means that you get the notification only once and the fastest notification from the original site is what you get!


2. how do i select ONLY jobs i am interested in?
Use the "Add/Remove jobs" Menu option. Select all the jobs specialization you are interested in. contact us at admin@jobcitynigeria.com if you do not find you specialization.

3. How many job sites are added to the app?
Currently, they were formerly 10 sites but reduced to 5 Sites. since all the other sites copy these sites or gets the job information after these sites have posted it These sites are are already mentioned above

4. Am I able to select/get notified about jobs in my specializations only?.

Yes . you can select from a list of 50 specialization and choose the Specialization you are interested in. you would receive updates in the selected specialization. You can also select all jobs to get notified about every job. ( this is not advisable as it means you would be notified whenever there is a jobs vacancy). you can also use the contact us menu in the app to request your specialization if it is not added already.

5. would i get multiple alerts if i select multiple specializations.
NO, you would only get one alert if a job meets more than one specialization. the specialization is always below the job title.


6. Can I clear all unread post?

Yes. you can clear all unread post and also delete any post you are not interested in.

7. Can I share a job post with a friend?
Yes. you can share a job post through any social platform available on your phone
