I just went through about 10 similar apps, then uninstalling each as they didn't deliver. This is the ONLY app I could find that allows searches by compound name or symbol entries. It even uses my entry to find all variations and possibilities based on all or partial data. True, most of this is only symptomatic as part of a weak UI, but it WORKS! If developer is reading this, consider the flexibility I mentioned and integrate into a more engaging UI.
