Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CarSpotters on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

SPOT, SNAP, SAVE:

CarSpotters boasts a intuitive camera interface that allows users to quickly snap a photo of a parked or passing car. Users can add a caption to the picture and include the make, model, and location of the spotted car. The location helps other people know where the cars come out to play.

FIND:

CarSpotters allows you to view a live feed of cars around your area so you can know exactly where and when the unique cars of your dreams are. Just set your location and let us find the cars for you.

SOCIAL:

See a spotter that finds a lot of the cars you want to see? View spotters' profiles and see what they are seeing around town. Like and comment on their posts and join the conversation!

New features

Removed location in general. If you so choose, location is not required (Android 6+) but it does enhance the functionality (we don't store locations anywhere).
