About this app

At Last Mile Skills, we’re passionate about supporting career success, and to do that, we want to fix the job search and hiring processes. Traditional methods are confusing, time-consuming, and flawed when it comes to finding the perfect job. That’s because job boards and search engines only allow students to find jobs that interest them. To complicate matters, the university and technical training programs most students rely on for career preparation are unable to keep up with a rapidly changing business environment, leaving many students unsure of their qualifications and skills. On top of this, many students and employers aren’t sure if the coursework students complete directly corresponds to the skills needed on the job. We think you deserve better. To solve the problem, we’re leveraging the latest innovations in technology to compare students’ educational and work experience with the skills employers need, making compatibility and preparedness evident. We also allow students to request a mentor by providing information that will help us match them with potential mentors who have a wide variety of experience. Students will connect with their selected mentor and begin a conversation that can cover various topics such as advice on industries, positions, skills, job search process and best practices. Take advantage of the learning of others who have been successful in the journey that you are on right now!
