This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Tweet Hashtags on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

I want to use this app to notify me when certain hashtags are used but when I enter them, nothing happens. There's no option to save the hashtags I've entered, and when I press back they just get reset. Please fix this because I love the concept of the app, but at this point it's not working.

About this app

Thanks to social networks like Twitter, we are all reporters of what happens in the world. 'Tweet Hashtags' is a new application for Android phones that allows us to follow the messages and photos that are labeling on Twitter with the hashtag or topic you seek.

'Tweet Hashtags' is not a traditional Twitter client. Its design and interface are very simple: includes a search engine where to locate the latest posts on any topic of interest, and automatically gives the list of Trending Topics of the day (worldwide and from 11 different countries to choose). Once the flow of messages displayed on the topic of interest, you may respond or retweet any message, or follow any of the users who are participating in the issue.

Also includes a notification service: you can configure as many items as you like, that 'Tweet Hashtags' notifications will alert you when there is a Trending Topic (global or any country included) coincides with one of them.

In short: an application can not miss on your Android phone, especially if you are diligent to follow topics of interest in Twitter. Completely free and without advertising.

NOTE: To use 'Tweet Hashtags' you must have a Twitter account, but does not require the Twitter client is installed on the phone because it works independently.
