This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ChirpOMatic - Birdsong Europe on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

At last, a great bird song identifier app! I've tried a few other similar apps and this is head and shoulders above them all. It's brilliantly easy to use and has a good library with search facility of well recorded birdsongs to compare. I agree with previous reviewer that it would be even better if a widget to start instant recording could be considered for a future update. But it is quick to record and I love the yes/no/maybe options when it suggests identities. Love it!

Took me a little while to realise it's set to only analyse bird song on WiFi by default. You can change this in settings. Seems like a really good app though with pretty accurate recognition. Good details about different types of calls. Nice to be able to save your recordings and allocate what bird it is. When the app doesn't get it right I would like to be able to allocate a bird to the noise but you aren't able to do this which is a shame.

I initially had a little problem with my app as couldn't open the screen but after emailing chirpomatic I received some excellent help from Hilary Lind who managed to find the problem. My font was so big that the homescreen wasnt fully in view....😬🤣 I am now in full recording mode and enjoying this wonderful app.

It did not analyse any recordings, uninstalled and refund requested I have received a reply , but it is from a 'noreply' email from Google Play and you haven't provided contact details. I have uninstalled the app so I suspect the recordings will be lost now. I just kept getting 'cannot analyse'

Rather belated review. Thanks to Hilary who sorted out my problem( which was actually just my fault ) quickly and courteously. My house backs on to woods and I am now beginning to identify bird calls.

Took a while to analyse at first couple of times then started to work with 99% right the other 1% I'd say down to background noise. The best I have used the way it set up with options 5 ⭐ Plus
