Too few species to be really useful. I was hoping to leave my book at home, but I've found that I need it. I wish I hadn't wasted my money. (Ditto the bird app and the tree app, by same developer)

Not had the app long but I've used it a few times already. Find it easy to use and managed to identify a flower I could not find in my books

Great app but...having just changed my phone it seems there's no way to recover my recorded sightings, which appear lost.

Great app for those that enjoy walks in the countryside and like to identify wild flowers on the go. An all round great app and a good complement to the butterfly app

fine if you know what group the flower you have a picture of belongs to but more difficult otherwise. handy a photo can be taken but not used that facility yet

Useful app when out walking to identify flora, but needs updating, for example Wood Avens are listed but not Water Avens

About this app

Wild Flower Id is a stunning guide to identifying wild flowers of the British Isles.

Now with Automatic Recognition to identify your Wild Flower photos!

Wild Flower Id is great fun to use. Identification can be enjoyed by the whole family and will bring you closer to the natural world around you. For the enthusiast there is anatomical, ecological and taxonomic information too.

Wild Flower Id will help you quickly and easily identify wild flowers. Use our intuitive key, or simply take a photo and use Automatic Recognition.

Automatic Recognition works a little like Shazam for wild flowers.

Wild Flower Id can be used to keep a log of your flower sightings making it easy to build a record of all the flowers you've seen. Wild Flower Id has been created by professional published ecologists, and uses a propriety image library created with the specific aim of aiding wild flower identification.

Isoperla apps appear in the World Wildlife Fund top 10 and Countryfile's top 10 apps, have been described as "incredibly useful" by ITV's Seth Conway and "lovely" by Adam Vaughan of the Guardian.

Isoperla field guides are the only products on the market that use the KUSAM species identification methodology. This state of the art method is a modern taxonomic keying system designed specifically for use on mobile devices.

The app does not need an internet connection once the app and image expansion pack are downloaded, apart from when you are using Automatic Recognition as this needs to send the image to our server for recognition.

The app includes:

- automatic photo recognition - take a picture of the plant and find out what plant you are looking at
- works completely offline - no internet connection needed
- 800 images covering the full plant, flower and leaf
- browse through 318 flower species
- keep a log of your flower sightings
- loads of anatomical, ecological and taxonomic information

We will be adding new species regularly, don't forget to keep your app up to date.
