السورة الوحيدة التي افتتحت باسم من أسماء الله تعالى وهو الرحمن الذي لم يتقدّم عليه غيره، كما تميّزت ببديع أسلوبها.

تكرار ذكر قوله تعالى (فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ)،[٥] فقد جاء ذكر هذه الآية في السورة إحدى وثلاثين مرة، وقد دلّ ذلك على مقام الامتنان والتعظيم، كما دلّ على الأسلوب العربيّ الجليل.

ذكر دلائل القدرة الباهرة في تسيير الأفلاك، وتسخير السفن، ثمّ استعراض الكون بما فيه من أمور منظورة. تميّز السورة بتناسق كلماتها، وإيقاع فواصلها، ونسقها الخاص الملحوظ.
