About this app

Kamusi Here! provides what are probably the world's most accurate term translations between many language pairs. Unlike other multilingual dictionaries, which try to line up languages based on the coincidence of spelling of an English translation, we have aligned words based on the underlying concepts.

For you, that means that you'll discover the right word, not a best guess. For example, if you speak Romanian and you are looking for a word in Arabic that means "not dark", we won't tell you the word that means "not heavy", even though both of those pass through the English word "light". You'll get accurate results, for word after word, in an ever-increasing number of language pairs.

This app is free so that it can be used by people who normally cannot afford access to high-level global knowledge. However, we really really need the help of those who can afford to chip in to provide the service to everyone. The app currently requires a live network or wifi connection. Future versions will aim toward an offline system that will be cheaper for mobile subscribers in low income countries and faster for everyone, when we can squeeze the development costs.
