Simple and easy to use. Make sure to turn on your microphone permission, since the app doesn't automatically ask for it. If there was an option to use traditional characters, or some kind of visualisation/test of the recording, it would be even better.

It doesn't record or playback, which is almost it's entire purpose for being. I think maybe it doesn't request the required permissions.

Very simple. Limited but very good audio quality. Tap down bitton to listen to audio. Tap and hold down button to record own voice and then compare your voice with chinese speaker

You can't record what you said. There no any other possiblity to understand where you are wrong

This is great for Speech practice. Only annoying issue is the record starts a second or two after you hold the record button. I would like to see a star 🌟 type button feature so, I can return to the ones that I had difficulty with getting my head around the pronunciation. As I cannot see any paid upgrade maybe this could be it one 🌟 for hard and a different one for favourites.

About this app

Practice Chinese pronunciation and sentence melody by trying to get as close to the native speaker as possible. One school of learning languages says starting learning pronunciation first (before you know a lot of vocab or grammar), will save you a lot of time later that you would otherwise have to spend on unlearning wrong pronunciations patterns.

You will see a sentence in Chinese characters. If you think you know how they are pronounced, you can record yourself right away. If not, you can let the app show you the pronunciation in pinyin and if you want the sentence's translation. All you have to do to practice the sentence is to tap and hold the Record button, say the sentence in Chinese, then release. You will hear your recording, followed by the native speaker saying the sentence, letting you compare the pronunciations.

Repeat recording and comparing the sentence until you feel you came close enough to how the native speaker says it. Then advance to the next sentence. There are 1648 sentences for you to refine your pronunciation.

All sentences from tatoeba.org, unmodified. Word pronunciations are from Wiktionary.

New features

- Changed order of sentences to start with more simple ones.
