About this app

La Borsa di Studio “Leddhìdia tis Glòssa” (Fratelli di Lingua) nasce con l’intento di valorizzare e promuovere la lingua e la cultura dei Greci di Calabria, seguendo gli insegnamenti e percorrendo i solchi che i fratelli Salvatore Siviglia (1931-2017) e Agostino Siviglia (1934-2016) hanno tracciato, lottando fino all’ultimo giorno della loro vita, per dare dignità a un mondo che per secoli è stato relegato nell’oblio della memoria.

Il progetto viene proposto dall’Istituto Comprensivo “E. De Amicis” Bagaladi - San Lorenzo in collaborazione con il Comune di Roghudi e con l’Associazione “viaCalabria”, soggetti che hanno sottoscritto un Protocollo d’intesa, “Grecanica 2.0”, con il quale si è voluto istituire sul territorio un Centro Multiculturale dedicato agli studenti e alle famiglie con lo scopo di promuovere percorsi di salvaguardia e valorizzazione del patrimonio linguistico, storico, archeologico, culturale e ambientale del territorio dell’Area Grecanica. Un luogo di aggregazione rivolto a giovani di diversa età e stato sociale che fornisca spazi di incontro dove, oltre a usufruire di strutture informatiche, di testi scolastici e di letteratura locale, nazionale o internazionale, possa proporre iniziative culturali e sociali tese al loro accrescimento.

Il progetto riceve l’appoggio, il sostegno e l’aiuto dei figli, dei parenti e degli amici più vicini ai fratelli Siviglia che per oltre quarant’anni hanno promosso l’Area Grecanica in Calabria, in Italia e all’estero.

La borsa di studio è incentrata su un concorso di poesia in lingua greco-calabra ed è rivolto a studenti di scuola primaria, secondaria di primo grado e secondaria di secondo grado ricadenti nei comuni dell’intera Area Grecanica (Bagaladi, Bova, Bova Marina, Brancaleone, Cardeto, Condofuri, Melito di Porto Salvo, Montebello Jonico, Motta San Giovanni, Palizzi, Reggio Calabria, Roccaforte del Greco, Roghudi, Samo, San Lorenzo, Staiti).
