Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing WarsawTour on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

All in all, a great app. In the beginning, it let's you choose a route or "walk", and then shows you all the local attractions. Initially, the app in a way forces you to pick the preset choice, but this can be omitted by clicking another walk and unclicking the preset choice. I really like how you can click on the attraction and get some information on the site prior to visiting, great if you're low on time! Things to change - the initial preset choice and a working status bar during installation. A+!!

A great source of information for any type of visitor, 1st time or returning. Very comprehensive with respect to locations and activities included, but also full of interesting facts that give you a foretaste of the specific attraction. The attractions are divided into thematic and coherent subcategories which make it easy to decide on what to do if you're looking for ideas. The app is a little counter-intuitive at 1st as the "Must-see Warsaw" is always on when you're returning to the "choice of walks" or main menu. If you then pick another category (and each time you can pick up to 2 categories), the "Must-see Warsaw" locations pop up on the map and in the following scroll down menu. If i was to change the app, I'd leave the selections open and start the screen with the information "choose up to 2 walks". Also the app loads fast, but on the 1st time it seems to download a lot of information. The download took a good while to start (thought the app was broken) and a few minutes to download. Over all a very helpful app and I will definitely use it this summer when I'll be visiting Warsaw again!

Are you coming to Warsaw or have you just arrived? Are you interested in the history of the city, do you want to feast your eyes on art work, do you plan to experience sporting emotions or do you just wish to take a rest and enjoy the local cuisine?
The WarsawTour app will guide you through the most interesting places in the city in a variety of ways. Once you decide to choose a walk you will see your preferences on the map and a list of attractions on the dropdown menu. You will learn more about them thanks to detailed descriptions of each place. Information about museum opening hours and restaurant phone numbers will help you to decide which to visit and where to book a table. Once you get connected to the Internet you can visit the website of each place, map out the route to reach them and get the information about public transport connections. Intuitive icons will let you easily identify each kind of attraction on the map. The description of each walk as well as a key to icons can be found in the menu.
You can also have fun and create your own route combining two selected walks.
The app can be used offline and allows you to track your location via GPS.
