About this app

Trasmettiamo dalla località di Coltano, Pisa, luogo che ha visto nascere la radio.
Agli inizi del ‘900 Guglielmo Marconi costruì qui la prima Stazione Radio d’Italia e una delle prime al Mondo. Negli anni venti prese il nome di Radio Coltano e diventò la più potente d’Europa e da qui transitavano tutti i collegamenti tra l’Italia e i bastimenti in navigazione nei mari delle Americhe fino a quelli della Cina, attiva fino alla fine del 1945. E da qui oltre 100 anni dopo riportiamo la voce di Coltano nel
mondo, rendendo omaggio al suo inventore: G.Marconi.
