The inLieu (in lieu) app makes it easy to support your friends by supporting their cause. inLieu (in lieu) allows users to make donations in lieu of purchasing gifts and at the same time makes donating fast, easy and social.

There are three main features to the app:

1. Give the gift of giving. Link to your contacts, create a personal message to your friends and at the same time make a donation to their favorite cause.
2. Make a direct donation. No more filling out long profiles on websites or postcards at events. Search over 1.8 million verified nonprofits, select your nonprofit and make a direct donation.
3. Create an event. Invite your friends to make a donation to your cause in lieu of a gift. Event can be real or virtual, can include a calendar invite and will link to the cause of your choice. Track RSVPs and donations within the app.

The inLieu (in lieu) mobile app provides a live feed of every transaction that can be liked and shared with friends. Finally an app that makes donating social.
