About this app

تعد وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع) اول وكالة اخبارية في العراق، وثاني وكالة تنطلق في المنطقة بعد وكالة انباء الشرق الاوسط المصرية، تأسست في عهد الرئيس السابق عبد الكريم قاسم في شهر آذار من العام 1959 ، كوكالة اخبارية رسمية ، وساهم عدد من الصحفيين العراقيين بتأسيسها ومنهم محسن حسين وحميد رشيد وأحمد قطان.

صدر قانون الوكالة المرقم 158 في سنة 1959، وبعد نشر هذا القانون في الجريدة الرسمية في 6 تشرين الأول من ذات العام انطلقت اول نشرة اخبارية مطبوعة على الورق تحمل اسم الوكالة في 9 تشرين الثاني 1959.

قبل ذلك التاريخ بتسعة أشهر وبالتحديد في الأيام الأولى من شهر آذار 1959 استدعي صحفيان كانا يعملان في جريدة البلاد وهما محسن حسين وحميد رشيد لمقابلة مدير الإذاعة آنذاك (سليم الفخري) ، وأبلغهما أن الحكومة قررت تأسيس وكالة أنباء رسمية على غرار وكالة أنباء الشرق الأوسط المصرية (أ.ش.أ) ، وأنه تم اختيارهما لإنشاء نواة لهذه الوكالة وانها سترتبط بالإذاعة لحين إكمال الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة لتأسيس الوكالة.

بدأت الوكالة عملها في غرفة تقع في الجهة اليمنى من مدخل الإذاعة في منطقة الصالحية وسط بغداد ، بأسم (مكتب الارتباط) ، وكان العمل في البداية جولات يومية على الوزارات والمنظمات لجمع الأخبار والعودة إلى الإذاعة عند الظهر لتحريرها وطبعها واستنساخها تسلم نسخة منها إلى المذيعين لإذاعتها وتوزيع البقية على الصحف المحلية لنشرها في اليوم التالي. وكانت ترد إلى المكتب بيانات الوزارات وتصريحات رسمية من الوزراء لادراجها في النشرة، وكذلك بيانات مجلس الوزراء ومقابلات كبار المسؤولين ، واستمرت نشرة مكتب الارتباط تصدر بانتظام زهاء تسعة أشهر.

في السادس من تشرين الأول عام 1959 صدور قانون الوكالة ونظامها في الجريدة الرسمية ، وتم تعين (أحمد قطان) كأول مدير عام لوكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع) ، كما بذل وزير الارشاد (الاعلام) (الدكتور فيصل السامر) جهدا كبيرا في تأسيس الوكالة واصدار قانونها.
