iHuman Books — Learn to read, love to read

After 2 years of research and development, and drawing from 20 years of experience, the team at iHuman have developed an app that provides a fun, interactive, and engaging reading experience for children aged 3–12.

iHuman Books is built on sound pedagogical principals that help children to become happy and confident readers. All stories can be read in English or Chinese and as either full, unabridged Story Books or shorter, Leveled Books.

In Story Books mode children can enjoy a wide range of stories from around the world written in authentic, natural prose. One-click allows users to switch between English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Pinyin. Professional voice actors and narrators bring each story, chapter, and character to life in new and exciting ways.

In Leveled Books mode young readers can develop their English and Chinese reading skills with carefully graded text. In each book key vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns are highlighted and repeated to ensure clear opportunities for learning and comprehension. iHuman's Leveled Books can support children from absolute beginner up to international grade school reading standards.

All stories in iHuman Books are professionally illustrated and contain interactive links and animations on every page. AR technology provides new ways to interact with stories and characters. Libraries are regularly updated so there are always new stories to read. Keep your enthusiasm and motivation alive — learn to love reading.

3. Interactive books, brand new experiences. Each page of every book contains multiple interactive links and animations. This includes five secret treasures in every Story Book that are waiting to be discovered and collected.

4. Leveled reading, support at every step. Leveled Books feature carefully graded text that supports young readers in learning to read. Each book contains key vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns to ensure a clear comprehension of the story.

5. Inspired learning, practice English. Each book contains interactive features that enrich the learning experience. Look out for the interactive pop-ups that contain facts and information about science, mythology, language and more.

6. Stimulating challenges, enhanced concentration. Each book ends with challenges that help improve comprehension and focus. Feedback from these challenges can be used to track learning and reading progress.
