Using BlueStacks

About this app

Hygiene Index (HI) is one of the programs under DBSI and focuses on assessing the current hygiene status across India. HI comprehensively evaluates the city’s hygiene conditions by focusing on six sectors having an impact on the hygiene conditions of a city namely- water, sewerage, solid waste management (SWM), toilet, health and behaviour change communication (BCC), collectively called as the hygiene sectors.

HI is an evidence based policy tool that enables decision makers in Indian cities to better understand the challenges of Hygiene and Sanitation. The insights drawn from HI assessment enables effective allocation of resources; allowing policy makers to focus on the outputs and outcomes of their investments.

Dettol Banega Swachh India (DBSI), RB’s 5-year ambitious multi strand program to address the rising need of hygiene and sanitation, aims to help 100 million Indians lead healthier and better lives by 2020. The key initiatives under this program include Modular School Education Programs, School Hand Wash Program, Young Mothers Program, Community Program with Faith Based Leaders, Moms, Panchayat Leaders and Panchayat Raj Institutions, World Toilet College, Project HOPE among others. These initiates help to drive behaviour change and improve sanitation facilities by closing working various stakeholders
