As of now it is broken. The camera no longer connects and states a continuous error that isn't fixable. All of these issues are software based. With that the software appears to be abandon. And there goes a pretty good work camera.

you broke it this was a fine camera but the new "updated" app can't see or find the camera. the old app worked fine. stop fixing something that's not broke. put the old app back on the store and restore functionality to this camera and fire the genius who did this. don't give me the bull of turn on location, I tried everything including hard reboot and nothing works. where is the help for this app? on Xiaomi Pocophone F1 a screen comes up saying the app is asking permission to connect to WiFi but no matter what you press, that screen doesn't go. You can see the app connected behind that screen showing the live view but you can't access it because the popped WiFi screen is stuck in front. You also can't use any other normal features of the phone while that screen is there and the only solution is to reboot the phone!

Love my RE Cameras! One of the best example of a great product that just wasn't properly marketed. If Apple had come out with them, they'd everyone would have one! They work great and are so convenient to take everywhere including when swimming. Full control through the app including setting up time lapse is awesome!

dear Developer, thank you for taking time to answer to my review on 24th April regarding the connectivity of the RE camera to my hp. i have followed your suggestion to enable the "Location" permission in the app settings. have rebooted my hp after doing this. but still my hp cannot detect the RE camera. my hp is Samsung Note 8 with Android V9 firmware, it cannot detect the RE camera at all. BUT my Samsung Tab S2 tablet with Android V7 is ABLE TO DETECT the RE camera! pls go re-do the app again.
