I'm colorblind and frequently need to identify wires by color. Two features would make this app work great for me: 1) identify the closest "simple" color (like from the Crayola '8' box, not the 64!). "Lonely Watermelon" et al don't work for my purposes. 2) Allow me to use a white object to set white balance so the read is more accurate. If this app worked reliably for this I would happily pay real money for it.

Similar most of the comments here, an option that will id to the nearest primary color wil be great. Another suggestion is to put a bit of lag time in the detection process, making it slow in churning out the colors so it's not too sensitive to the small movements when ur trying to focus on the object :-)

Does the job without a fuss. Would help if a 1 second lag can be set. Also increase the font size of the color name. Then I'll give it 5 stars.

This app will be a lifesaver for this red-green colorblind user, but: 1) color names spin by so fast I can't make them out, 2) the colors are too nuanced for my need - I'm just trying to figure out if the tie is green or tan, 3) a cross hair and capture button would help usability, 4) option to turn on flash would help in odd lighting situations, and 5) an option to provide this feedback directly to the author from within the app would be nice.

I use this every day! Please update it so that it takes the average of a few pixels for more accurate color. And the color names aren't intuitive enough... Find a better naming scheme! Thank you for this app

Like the initial release, hope there's an update soon. Here's my wishlist: - ability to "lock" on a color - ability to display the RGB value of the color - would like menu option to exit the app - change the color naming and put the "primary" color and then maybe a hyphen after it with the detailed color ... I mean what's Byzantium without looking it up (it's a shade of violet)
