Amazing app compared to what it was a few years ago. I loved the way it gets set up for user preferences - like a text message between two friends. (I opted in for everything.) Finding the app setting to allow the app to access your current location all the time (important for weather alerts) might be an issue for some. It seems like every brand (not even talking about Android versus Apple iOS) is different. If a Google search doesn't help, try going to the seller (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc).

The only reason I am giving such a high rating is because of the weather coverage of the app. The news story side of the app needs a lot of work. Quite often the video attached to a story has absolutely nothing to do with the story. The written part of the stories are often missing pieces of information the title would lead you to believe you are going to learn. Overall the news needs a lot of quality control and better editorial oversight.

Fine except for autoplay on videos. Whenever I open a notification, it automatically goes to an article which is fine but it automatically plays a stupid ad, which is what I don't want. Can't pause it or stop the ad, so in order to read the article in silence, I have to either mute the media or wait for the ad to stop and then pause the video. Frustrating.

I hoped I might be notified about thunderstorms in time to be prepared, like when a storm is forecast. But the only notifications the app sends are when lightning is "detected nearby", AFTER I can already see and hear it. And then it has to notify every time it detects lightning during the storm. A barrage of notifications that tell me what I already know. The opposite of helpful. I was more prepared for storms when I was manually checking my phone's built-in weather app every few hours.

I have no issues with the app for the most part, however, everytime I click on a story about a missing person, the picture is there for half a second and then an unrelated video starts playing. The unrelated videos are really just annoying in general. What is the purpose of throwing some random video about say Medical Marijuana on a story about a missing woman and her 6 week old baby?! If I did see them, I wouldn't even know it was them thanks to how this app is set up!

Bugs to pick out permanently so that inset settings are more personalized toward the weather. This is critically important, rebuttal is not, the southerly broadcast sector is presently/currently vulnerable, and the snags are bugs, the app keeps stopping. An update is required, to the app itself, although if it is not available at any time however, an uninstall must come soon for me as an app user.
