About this app

Designed for anyone who wants to learn how to play chess from scratch. This app has 21 levels, which test you and give feedback as you progress.

Each lesson teaches a specific skill, such as how to move the rook, or what check means, and then sees if you can do it. The quiz levels serve to reinforce what you have learned in the lessons.

Finally, having learnt all the rules of chess, you can play against the computer in level 21. Hopefully, you should be able to checkmate it and win the game!

This app is written by an experienced teacher and International Master in chess.
