Lord Hanuman is also called Pavan Sut, Anjaneya, Kesari nandan, Maruti, Shankar Suvan etc and was a Bhakt of Lord Rama and helped Lord in his mission to kill demons.

It is a very popular belief that chanting the Hanuman Chalisa invokes Hanuman's divine intervention in grave problems, including those concerning evil spirits and this belief is based on the claim made in the Chalisa itself.

Hanuman Chalisa has been found to be highly effective in controlling the evil effects of Saturn transit or Saturn's major/ minor periods. Those who are under such influences will get benefitted by chanting the Chalisa for 8 times on Saturdays.
