About this app

In Sardinia, where tourists often visit, there are many ancient monuments, among which are those that are officially called the graves of giants. Many locals also talk about finding skeletons of unusual large sizes, however, none of the local museums, and indeed not a single museum in the world, can show such remains. Why is this so? Let's try to figure it out ...
In the middle of the twentieth century, the archaeologist Giovanni Liliu excavated the island, famous for his statement that the Nuragi - megalithic towers left in Sardinia from a vanished civilization - were built not by ordinary people, but by giants. These cone-shaped structures with truncated peaks began to be built on the island from the II century BC. e.
The words of the researcher caused a stormy response in society and in the press. After all, on the island there are a total of about 8000 such structures. So, here once there was a whole kingdom of giants, which erected these towers. But where did they all later disappear without even leaving cemeteries? On a spaceship flew away, or what?
So did the giants really exist? In pseudoscientific mythological literature there are many references to the race of giants. The legends of many nations tell about them. However, such statements are called official science by tales and legends, which are confirmed only by indirect evidence. For example, Gilgamesh, carved on a stone by Sumerian tribes, pressed a lion to his chest, which on his body seems like an ordinary kitten. However, maybe this is just an artist’s fantasy?
The fact that our ancestors were foolishly eloquent is eloquently spoken by at least Russian legends about Svyatogor, who was growing uphill, so Ilya Muromets, with whom he came to the Ararat Mountains, could fit in his palm. Many historians believe that Ilya Muromets is a historical person and he lived during the time of Prince Vladimir in the X century during the adoption of Christianity by Russia. Maybe Svyatogor was not a fiction, although, according to Russian epics, he was more than a "standing forest"?
However, today none of the researchers is able to answer with certainty whether there was a real prototype of Svyatogor. It is possible that he was a kind of symbol of other, much more ancient types of people. And in this case, his frequent presence on the mountains of Ararat indicates that our ancestors were aware that giants really lived on the Armenian Highlands.
In any case, the Armenians consider their ancestor to the legendary Hayk, who had gigantic growth and defeated Bel - the Babylonian king-titan.
