Ecos es una publicación que surgió de la idea de su fundador, José Armando Gordillo Mandujano, al comprobar que Cd. Satélite y sus alrededores, a diario crecían tanto en población como en comercios y restaurantes; en talleres y escuelas de todos los niveles; en academias de idiomas y de danza; en fin, talleres de los más diversos y de toda clase de servicios pero lo que más motivó, desde el punto de vista de la mercadotecnia, fue la apertura de la tienda Aurrera en 1966, no obstante que ya, desde algunos años atrás, funcionaba la tienda departamental SUMESA.
