About this app

The Diamond Bar Troop 730 app was created to help our large troop communicate and stay connected. You can join conversations, share photos, learn about events, and find contact info for all members.

Troop 730 is based in Diamond Bar, CA, but we also have many members from surrounding communities including Chino Hills, Pomona, Rowland Heights, San Dimas, and Walnut. We are associated with Venture Crew 73, and are part of the Golden Eagle District, Greater Los Angeles Area Council.

Troop 730 is self-chartered by the Parents of BSA Troop 730, Diamond Bar.

We meet at Calvary Chapel, Golden Springs on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM. Our meetings are boy-led, run by student leaders and include instruction on merit badges, practicing Scouting skills, planning outings, and other special projects throughout the year.

Troop 730 is especially proud of our success in the many boys who have achieved the rank of Eagle in our 50 year history. While statistically only 3-4% of scouts achieve this rank nationwide, Troop 730 has a much higher percentage among boys who remain in the program for at least five years. In recent years, we have seen 40-75% of "aged out" patrol members achieve Eagle before their 18th birthday, and two patrols to date (as of 2015) have achieved 100%.
