About this app

The Penn Trauma app was developed to facilitate communication and information sharing with the Division of Traumatology, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery in the University of Pennsylvania Health System. It was designed to provide quick access to members within the Division and affiliates who directly interface with the Division, the Divisional calendar of events, call schedules, and resource materials. Additional features provide members with the ability to share professional news, have direct access to CMG’s, resident onboarding materials as well as links to professional sites. This application is not open to the public and is strictly for the members of the Division at The Trauma Center at Penn.

The Trauma Center at Penn was established in 1988 as an accredited Level I Trauma Center serving the population locally in West Philadelphia and has long been considered a national and international model of excellence in trauma and surgical critical care. All of the trauma surgeons are fellowship trained in trauma care and specialize in complex and high-acuity, multisystem trauma. The Acute Care Surgery services of trauma, surgical critical care and emergency surgery at Penn Medicine offers in-house attending physician coverage 24/7/365 for critical ill patients in need of immediate quaternary level care. Our new location at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is s a Magnet designated hospital, offering expertise and the ability to treat the highest acuity patients experiencing; acute surgical emergencies, the need for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, shock, severe sepsis, advanced respiratory failure, and advanced multi-organ failure with Beacon awarded critical care nursing. Our excellent outcomes rank well above national averages. The Division of Trauma Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at Penn Medicine is able to offer our patients the most advanced specialty care in the region.
